Gram negative isolates were identified based on growth characteristics on MacConkey agar and reactions to strip oxidase test, catalase test, Triple Sugar Iron (TSI) agar, and the "IMViC
" tests (Indole, Methyl-Red, Vogas Proskaur and Citrate utilisation) .
