triazole

 [tri´ah-zōl, tri-a´zōl]
1. an organic compound in which three atoms of the five that make up the ring are nitrogen atoms.
2. any of a class of antifungal agents that contain this compound.

Member of a series of heterocyclic compounds containing three nitrogen atoms in the azole group; also used to describe of of a group of antifungal agents (e.g., itraconazole) in this chemical class.
