stalkingPublic health Harassing or threatening behavior that a person engages in repeatedly, such as following a person, appearing at a person's home or place of business, making harassing phone calls, leaving written messages or objects, or vandalizing a person's property. A form of harassment in which one person repeatedly calls, follows, or writes to another even though these attempts at contact are disruptive, unwanted, or felt to be menacing by the person who is the object of attention.
