Home Office

The lead government department responsible for internal affairs in England and Wales, including matters related to immigration and passports, drugs policy, crime, counter-terrorism and police. Its purview is to build a safe, just and tolerant society, enhance opportunities for all, and ensure the protection and security of the public. The Home Office controls the flow of foreign professionals into the UK job market.
