An anticholinergic drug derived from tropine, C16H21NO3, used in its bromide form to dilate the pupil of the eye and in combination with hydrocodone to prevent overdosage of that drug.
homatropine A drug used in the form of eyedrops to widen the pupils for ophthalmic examination and temporarily to paralyze the muscles of the iris to assist in the treatment of iris inflammation (anterior UVEITIS).
