Patient discussion about HI

Q. Hi this is Edmund; Hi this is Edmund; I am curious to know whether a person who used TCM practices like acupuncture, cupping, and exercises would ever use western medical approaches.

A. Hi Edmund,
I not only use TCM but am also a practitioner of TCM, and yet if I have a kidney infection, or hypothyroidism, which I do have, I turn to western medicine. Both are complementary with each other; I believe that the use of both is combining yin and yang. For example, if i have a broken arm or appendicitis I going to the ER, but if I feel melancholy and have a lack of energy, I will use acupressure first to see if that will help.

Q. Hi, I'm new to the ADHD community. I was very happy to hear about this site. Can anyone let me know how it works? How do I meet people who are dealing with ADHD?

A. I'm sorry to hear about your son Kavon. I actually know a lot of people that suffer from the same problem, but they are able to cope with it quite well.

Q. Hi any experienced doctors here to help me? Hi any experienced doctors here to help me? I am a nurse practitioner in Durango, Colorado. A patient who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia recently got a flu vaccine, can this exacerbate her symptoms?

A. I am not an experienced doctor. But from my point of view I can say that flu vaccine not usually exacerbates her symptoms, but, fibromyalgia has a history of waxing and waning without clear cause.
