Hazard Group 3A category of microorganisms from the UK’s Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens which corresponds to Biohazard Level 3 organisms, which the ACDP defines as biological agents that can cause severe human disease and present a serious hazard to employees. Hazard Group 3 agents may spread to the community, but effective prophylaxis or treatment is often available.
