HOXA11(redirected from HOX1I)
HOXA11A gene on chromosome 7p15.2 that encodes a sequence-specific transcription factor of a developmental regulatory system, which provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis and appears to be involved in gene expression, morphogenesis and differentiation. HOX11 is involved in regulating uterine development and is required for female fertility.
HOXA11 mutations cause radio-ulnar synostosis
with amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia.
