HDAC7(redirected from HD7A)
HDAC7A gene on chromosome 12q13.1 that encodes histone deacetylase 7, which is responsible for deacetylating lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation tags epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events.
