When immature granulocytes
are present in numbers that exceed a user-defined limit, the analyzer will generate a flag message that reads "IG Present." The appearance of this flag would prompt a smear review of the results that may include correlation with the patient's history and diagnosis, or a manual examination of the blood film to verify the presence of immature granulocytes
and any additional clinically significant features.

In particular, granulocytes
were labelled with 62.6 [+ or -] 17.8% efficiency with [sup.99m]Tc-SSS-complex and 40.5 [+ or -] 15% efficiency with [sup.99m]Tc-HMPAO (p = 0.05); lymphocytes were labelled with 59.9 [+ or -] 22.2% efficiency with [sup.99m]Tc-SSS-complex and 29.4 [+ or -] 13.5% efficiency with [sup.99m]Tc-HMPAO (p = 0.03); finally, platelets were labelled with 44.4 [+ or -] 24% efficiency with [sup.99m]Tc-SSS-complex and 20.5 [+ or -] 10.7% efficiency with [sup.99m]Tc-HMPAO (p = ns).
have important roles in innate immunity, including killing pathogenic microorganisms and secreting antimicrobial substances during infections.

Treatment with GTE significantly increased PLIR of monocytes and granulocytes
at T3, whereas a nonsignificant increase was observed for PLIR of lymphocytes (Table 1).
As the most numerous cell type in early acute inflammation, polymorphonuclear neutrophil granulocytes
(PMN) can be central choreographers of inflammation [1-4].
In agranulocytes/ granulocytes
adhesion and diapedesis, inflammatory signals induce endothelial cells to exocytose P-selectin (SELP) and E-selectin (SELE).
Additionally, WBC number and cell percentage from flow cytometry analysis were used to calculate a total number of lymphocytes, lymphocyte subpopulations, monocytes, and granulocytes
per fl of blood.
Morphologically different subpopulations including hyalinocytes, semigranulocytes, and granulocytes
were defined by their relative size and subcellular complexity.
Lymphocytes from cystinotic patients contain much less cystine than do the granulocytes
(23), and because the percentage of lymphocytes in mixed leukocyte preparations can vary significantly, a patient will have an artifactually lower cystine/protein at a time when he or she happens to have a high concentration of lymphocytes.
