Gordon’s biological test

Gordon’s biological test

An obsolete test of uncertain clinical utility in which triturated lymph node from a patient with Hodgkin’s disease is injected into a rabbit, giving rise to spastic paralysis, ataxia and typical pathological lesions; it is probable that the changes induced in the lapine model reflect an immune response to human proteins and not to antigens unique to Hodgkin lymphoma.
