Goldenhar sequence

[Maurice Goldenhar, Swiss ophthalmologist, 1924–2001]
A rare congenital syndrome characterized by hemifacial hypoplasia and epibulbar dermoid tumors of the eye. Characteristic findings include unilateral underdevelopment of the jaw, with flattening of the maxilla and underdevelopment of the ear on the same side. Other variations of the syndrome are sometimes found.
