GPC6 A gene on chromosome 13q32 that encodes glypican 6, a cell surface proteoglycan with heparan sulfate that is thought to be a co-receptor for growth factors, extracellular matrix proteins and anti-proteases.
Defects of GPC6 cause omodysplasia type 1.
