CHST2(redirected from GN6ST)
CHST2A gene on chromosome 3q24 that encodes a carbohydrate sulfotransferase which participates in biosynthesis of selectin ligands. Selectin ligands are present in high endothelial cells and play a central role in lymphocyte homing to sites of inflammation, especially at Peyer’s patches. It is widely expressed at low levels, especially in bone marrow, leukocytes, spleen, brain, spinal cord, ovaries and placenta.
