GAS8

A gene on chromosome 16q24.3 that encodes growth arrest-specific 8, a cytoskeletal linkng protein which binds microtubules. It is thought to play a role in dynein regulation and in the spermatozoa motility. It is expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, pancreas and liver.
