NMUR1(redirected from G-protein coupled receptor 66)
NMUR1A gene on chromosome 2q37.1 that encodes a neuromedin U (NMU) receptor of the Gq/11-protein-coupled receptor family, which is expressed in the periphery—especially in the GI tract. NMU receptors mediate various biological effects, including uterine contraction, vasoconstriction and activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, resulting in decreased food intake via the corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) system.
