Fukuda marching step test(foo-kood′ă)
A test of balance in which the patient is asked to close his eyes, and then walk three steps forward and three steps back 20 times. People with vertigo, e.g., with Ménière disease, may have difficulty walking backward and forward without twisting or turning to the side or falling.
