Found Experiments

A natural experiment that was created by natural or social events beyond the researchers’ control.
Found experiments have 3 characteristics in common:
(1) The independent variable has a marked change in a brief period of time
(2) The dependent variable displays a large and abrupt change in level and
(3) Investigation seeks to link the independent and dependent variables
