Therefore, to clarify the genetic relationship between MAGV or MAGV-like viruses and the closely related CVV, as well as their association with acute human disease, we determined the complete genome sequences for all available MAGV isolates and conducted a comprehensive sequencing analysis of several full-length reference sequences for CVV strains and available strains of the closely related Tlacotalpan virus (TLAV), Playas virus (PLAV), and Fort Sherman virus (FSV) to facilitate the reliable classification of these and related virus isolates.
CVV, Cache Valley virus; FSV, Fort Sherman virus; MAGV, Maguari virus; PLAV, Playas virus; TLAV, Tlacotalpan virus.
