forest plot

A tool used in meta-analysis to show how different studies that have evaluated a specific condition or treatment have produced independent results. The plot graphs the results of each study and how far those results vary from zero. It also includes a point that shows the sum of all the findings in the studies, suggesting what conclusions might be drawn if all the results from each study were combined.
