Fones meth·od

(fōnz methŏd)
A toothbrushing procedure in which occlusal surfaces are brushed in an anterior-posterior direction, the lingual and palatal surfaces are brushed in small circles, and the facial surfaces are brushed in sweeping circles with the teeth in occlusion.
