Folstein Mini Mental Status Exam

, Folstein Mini Mental State Exam
A screening test to assess cognitive function in people suspected of delirium or dementia. The test assesses orientation, registration, recall, speech, and language. A perfect score is 30 correct answers. Scores below 24 are generally considered to indicate cognitive impairment. However, since scores are affected by age and education level, normed scores provide more accurate assessment.
