FCER2

A gene on chromosome 19p13.3 that encodes a protein which is a low-affinity receptor for IgE and for CR2/CD21. FCER2 regulates IgE production and B-cell differentiation.

Inverse correlations between methylation and expression were observed for five CpGs in four genes: EML2 (cg06381803; p = 0.039), FCER2 (Fc fragment of IgE receptor II) (cg12261095; p = 0.010), B3GALT5 (beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase 5) (cg26390598; p = 0.035), and LCN8 (lipocalin 8) (cg14145338; p = 7.0 x [10.sup.-4] and cg13764516; p = 6.4 x [10.sup.-3]).

Expression of FCER2 (32, 33), CD52 (34), FAIM3 (33), CCR7 (30), HLA-DRA (34), and BTG1 (29) has been associated with B-CLL.
