Eskalith) also should avoid diuretics.
Before receiving PRN lorazepam described previously, he had been treated with olanzapine (Zyprexa, 10 mg.), bupropion hydrochloride (Wellbutrin, 150 mg.), lithium carbonate (
Eskalith, 900 mg.), perphenazine (Trilafon, 32 mg.), and trazodone (Desyrel, 100 mg.) but none of these medications appeared efficacious.
Secondary causes may include: uremia (kidney failure), diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, nerve damage (neuropathy or a pinched nerve), disorders associated with claudication (cramping, aching, tired and sometimes burning pain in the legs), abnormalities in the blood vessels and taking certain medications (such as tricyclic antidepressants like amitriptyline [Elavil] and imipramine [Tofranil]), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, such as fluoxetine (Prozac) and paroxetine (Paxil), as well as venlafaxine (Effexor) and lithium (
Eskalith, Lithobid).
