Epidermoptes

a genus of parasitic mites of the family Epidermoptidae. Includes E. bifurcatus (E. bifurcata), E. bilobatus; found on the skin of birds; capable of causing allergy in humans. May coexist with fungal infections, e.g. Lophophyton spp.
