Emergency Privileges

Hospital privileges granted to a physician or other health care provider during a medical emergency—a condition that would likely result in serious permanent damage to a patient, or in which the life of the patient is in immediate danger, and any delay in administering treatment would materially add to that danger; once the medical emergency is resolved, the practitioner would need to formally seek temporary privileges
