EFNA4 | definition of EFNA4 by Medical dictionary
EFNA4 A gene on chromosome 1q21-q22 that encodes ephrin-A4, a cell surface GPI-bound ligand for the Eph family of tyrosine kinase receptors, which are crucial for migration, repulsion and adhesion during neuronal, vascular and epithelial development. EFNA4 may play a role in the interaction between activated B cells and dendritic cells in tonsils and mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT).
