LMP-1(redirected from EBV latent membrane protein-1)
LMP-1A 60-kD transmembrane protein encoded by the BNLF1 gene of Epstein-Barr virus, which is essential for EBV-mediated growth transformation. It mediates cell signaling by the TNF-alpha/CD40 pathway.
Detected by PCR, Southern blot, in situ hybridization.
