Doctors’ and Dentists’ Review Body

A UK body which invites evidence from various stakeholders, including the BMA and government, and then advises the government on how much doctors’ pay should increase the following year.

Government weighs the advice, then finalises the rises through NHS Employers, which publishes the rises in implementation schedules in the NHS Medical and Dental Pay Circular each year. The DDRB matches pay recommendations with those of workers doing comparable jobs in the public and private sector.
