dipstix

A convenient method of testing urine for protein, sugar, ketone bodies, PHENYLALANINE and other abnormal constituents. A narrow plastic or paper strip is impregnated with chemicals that change colour in the presence of the abnormal substance. See also CLINISTIX, ALBUSTIX and KETOSTIX.
