Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty
Abbreviation: DSAEKTransplantation of the layer of the cornea just anterior to the corneal endothelium with donor tissue after Descemet's membrane has been removed from the recipient's eye. It is used to treat corneal diseases such as Fuchs' corneal dystrophy which impact only the innermost layers of the cornea.
