Valley fills are also observed in between the Denudational hills near Galapur, Khadke Bk, Mangrul and Palskhede Bk villages of upper part of the Anjani river catchment.
Mass soil movement is frequently the dominant denudational process in steep humid areas (lida, 1999; Nagle et al., 1999; Pla, 1997), causing catastrophic damage to lives and property (Chung et al., 1995) and contributing to progressive problems of river degradation, siltation of reservoirs, and contamination of drinking water (Cruz and Reyes, 2000; Nagle et al., 1999; Pla, 1997).
The major geomorphologic features are alluvial plain, paleochannels, pediments, pediplain, valley fill, coastal plain, deltaic plain and denudational hill (Figure 3).
