The CVF100G is designed for operation with Panasonic's P2 VariCam series (AJ-HPX3700 andAJ-HPX2700), the AJ-HPX3000 and AJ-HPX2000 P2 HD camcorders, and the AJ-HDC27H VariCam and AJ-HDX900 DVCPRO HD camcorder.
Software UpdateAn update of its free AVCHD transcoder that will allow users to down convert AVCHD content recorded by AVCCAM camcorders into DV files, in addition to DVCPRO HD.Available at www.panasonic.com/avccam, the AVCHD Transcoder version 2.1 will provide AVCCAM users with even more flexibility for work across HD and SD workflow environments.
On a positive note,
DVCPRO HD files in MXF, HDV, DV, and H.264 files produced by the Canon EOS 7D all loaded without issue, though XDCAM EX files produced by the JVC GYHM700U in QuickTime mode would not load.
Compatible codecs include AVC-Intra,
DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO 50, and DVCPRO.
The SI-1920HDVR abandons fixed bitrate codecs, such as
DVCPRO HD and HDCAM.

Thomson's Grass Valley video servers will be supporting
DVCPRO HD and AVC-Intra.
It is engineered to run six streams of 10-bit uncompressed HD video or 30 streams of
DVCPro HD video simultaneously for up to four users without the aid of a switch.
Simultaneously, a high resolution version (
DVCPro HD) and a low resolution version (H.264 @ 1.2Mbps) will be generated and written into the storage.
