DDX43(redirected from DEAD box protein 43)
DDX43A gene on chromosome 6q12-q13 that encodes a protein which has a conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) motif and is a probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase. It is expressed in the testes (normally) and in tumours of various histological types, at levels up to 100-fold higher than those seen in normal tissues.
