DDX1

A gene on chromosome 2p24 that encodes a protein which contains a conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD motif) and acts as an ATP-dependent RNA helicase, which unwinds both RNA-RNA and RNA-DNA duplexes.
