a fleshy, padlike anatomical structure.
endocardial c's swellings that form on the dorsal and ventral walls of the atrioventricular canal of the embryonic heart during the fourth week of gestation. As they are invaded by mesenchymal cells during the fifth week, they approach each other and fuse, dividing the atrioventricular canal into right and left canals.
