Crescentic Glomerulonephritis with linear, granular or no deposit on IF OR
Nevertheless, while the prevailing picture in EGPA is ANCA-associated necrotizing
crescentic glomerulonephritis, in acute allergic drug-induced interstitial nephritis, the major histologic abnormalities are in the interstitium, which is expanded by a number of inflammatory cells, with the presence of large numbers of eosinophils, as it is seen in this patient.
Renal biopsy showed necrotizing
crescentic glomerulonephritis, leading to the diagnosis of microscopic polyangiitis (MPA).

The subjects included patients with FSGS, MCNS, membranous nephropathy, renal amyloidosis, lupus nephritis, membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis, and
crescentic glomerulonephritis. After prospective observation for two years, proteinuria decreased to 1 g/day or less in 47.7% of the patients, indicating the usefulness of LDL apheresis.

Renal biopsy was done on the 4th hospital day and showed an acute necrotizing and
crescentic glomerulonephritis, with ten of fourteen glomeruli showing cellular crescents, often in association with areas of fibrinoid necrosis (Figures 1(a) and 1(b)).
