descriptive term connotating fibers from a cortical structure (cerebral or cerebellar) passing to subcortical cell groups; fibers comprising the fibrae corticonucleares bulbi [TA], fibrae corticonucleares pontis [TA], and fibrae corticonucleares mesencephali [TA]; cerebellar corticonuclear fibers (Purkinje cell axons to the cerebellar nuclei).
