n part used: rhizome; uses: antiinflammatory, vasodilator, antipyretic, cholagogic, hepatitis, gallstones, cirrhosis, jaundice, venereal diseases, conjunctivitis, abscesses, hemorrhage, oral ulcers, scabies, leukemia, cancer, tuberculosis, typhoid fever; relieve heat conditions associated with insomnia, anxiety and nervousness; precautions: can increase risk of jaundice; can injure the stomach.
