Candida lusitaniae(redirected from Clavispora lusitaniae)
an extremely rare species that causes opportunistic infections in humans. This species often demonstrates resistance to amphotericin B, the major antifungal antimicrobial used to treat invasive infections and mycoses.
A Candida species that causes serious infections in immunocompromised (e.g., neutropenic) patients. It is often resistant to treatment with amphotericin B.
