Child Protection Act 1989An Act that reformed the law relating to children, providing for local authority services for children in need, amending the law with respect to children’s homes, community homes, voluntary homes and voluntary organisations, making provision with respect to fostering, child minding and day care for young children and adoption. It assembled in a single framework all UK law relating to children.
