Caplan's syndrome

A form of coal-worker's PNEUMOCONIOSIS in which progressive FIBROSIS of the lungs, in the form of large nodules, is associated with RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS. (Anthony Caplan, 1907–76, English physician).
