a fertilizer and weed seed killer that also exhibits antithyroid activity; like disulfiram, it impairs ethanol metabolism; workers in cyanamide-producing plants exhibit systemic symptoms ("Monday-morning illness") after ingestion of alcohol.

Substance abuse
Temposil—An agent which inhibits the breakdown of acetaldehyde. It has been used in conjunction with disulfiram to keep alcoholics from falling back into alcohol use/abuse.
 
Adverse effects
Headache, nausea, vertigo, sweating, dyspnoea, tachycardia, rash. 

Toxicology
—A black-grey powder used in agriculture as a fertiliser, herbicide, pesticide and cotton-defoliant weed killer, which, in high concentrations, has antithyroid activity.
