A topical vitamin-D analogue with minimum effects on vitamin-D metabolism, which is FDA-approved for treating mild-to-moderate psoriasis; it is similar in efficacy to topical corticosteroids.

Adverse effects
Rarely, hypercalcaemia.

A vitamin D-analogue drug used in the treatment of PSORIASIS. A brand name for an external preparation is Dovonex. Formulated with betamethasone it is marketed as Dovobet.
