CAMK1GA gene on chromosome 1q32-q41 that encodes a gamma subunit of a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase, which belongs to a proposed calcium-triggered signalling cascade. It is strongly expressed in the forebrain, neocortex, striatum and limbic system.
