CRCP

A gene on chromosome 7q11.21 that encodes a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase which catalyses the transcription of DNA into RNA using all four ribonucleosides and acts as a nuclear and cytosolic DNA sensor, sensing and limiting infection by intracellular bacteria and DNA viruses.
