CHORDC1

A gene on chromosome 11q14.3 that encodes a protein that regulates centrosome duplication, probably by inhibiting the kinase activity of ROCK2. CHORDC1 may act as co-chaperone for HSP90, and may play a role in regulating NOD1 via a HSP90 chaperone complex by inhibiting association of ROCK2 with NPM1. It is involved in stress response and prevents tumuorigenesis.
