CEBPD

A gene on chromosome 8p11.2-p11.1 that encodes a transcription factor which binds as a homodimer to various DNA regulatory regions, and as a heterodimer to CEBP-alpha. CEBP-delta binds to regulatory regions of genes involved in immune and inflammatory responses, including macrophage activation and differentiation.

CCAAT Enhancer-Binding Protein Delta (CEBPD) induces LECT2 expression (see Figure 4), and the CEBPD gene was upregulated in 3-week-old cockerels, so this type of regulation could occur in the bird hypothalamus.
