ITGA4(redirected from CD49d antigen)
ITGA4A gene on chromosome 2q31.3 that encodes an integrin alpha chain protein which, like all integrins, forms a heterodimer with either a beta-1 chain, which is known as VLA4, or with a beta-7 chain, both of which are receptors for fibronectin and VCAM1. Alpha1 beta7 is also a receptor for MADCAM1. VLA4 is thought to participate in cytolytic T-cell interactions with target cells.
