CCNE2

CCNE2

A gene on chromosome 8q22.1 that encodes cyclin E2, which is essential for controlling the cell cycle at the late G1 and early S phase. It is highly expressed in the testes, thymus and brain.

rhizoma, inhibited endothelial cell tube formation and cell migration in part by downregulating CCNE2 and CDC6, halting progression through the G1/S checkpoint (14).
Recently, hsa-miR-30d was found downregulated and it functions as a tumor suppressor by directly targeting the CCNE2 in NSCLC.
MicroRNA-30d-5p inhibits tumour cell proliferation and motility by directly targeting CCNE2 in non-small cell lung cancer.
Notably, most of the network genes in the gene expression profiling, such as NUF2, CCNE2, NFIB, ETV5, KLF5, ATAD2, NDC80, and ZWINT, were included in these 306 genes.
In addition, CCNE2, PIK3CB, ITGAV, RB1, and BIRC2 involved in cancer pathway were also affected.
pylori are associated with cell cycle progression and proliferation (p14, p16, p21, p27, RAB40C, COX 2, FOS, ERBB2, FGFR2, ABL1, ECOP, JAK2, MYC, MET, SIRT1, PDCD4, TRAF6, GMNN, and CCNE2) [213, 223-242], apoptosis (RECK, SMAD4, TRAIL, MCL1, BIM, XIAP, and PDK1) [243-250], and invasion and metastasis (pTEN, WNT 5a, EDNRA, ROR2, EPB41L3, MMP1, MMP10, HMGA2, ROBO1, TGF-[beta], EZH2, casein kinase 2, and ZEB) [251-262].
Furthermore, there is considerable overlap in the genes regulated by both FOXO3A and MYC, both in those related to growth promotion such as CCND2, CDK4, and CCNE2 and in those related to growth inhibition such as BBC3, CDKN1B, and GADD45A [35, 36], suggesting that the expression of such genes is regulated by both FOXO3A and MYC in an antagonistic manner.
Increased miR-34a expression in senescent HDFs observed in this study which is in agreement with earlier reported literature [17, 36] may halt cell cycle progression by regulating several components in cell cycle regulation including CCNE2, CDK4 [37], CCND1, and CDK6 [38].
We further found that CcNe1 (cyclin E1), CCNE2 (cyclin E2), and CDK2 were all upregulated, while CDKN1A (P21) and CDKN1B (P27) were downregulated in tumor samples.

Aggressive follicular lymphoma, a subset of NHL, is associated with upregulation of genes involved in cell cycle control such as CCNE2 (cyclin E2), CCNA2 (cyclin A2), CDK2 (cyclin-dependent kinase 2), and genes-reflecting increased metabolism and DNA synthesis [115].
